Charity Hog Roast for Help for Heroes

“It’s about the blokes, our men and women of the Armed Forces. It’s about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it’s about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. It’s about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife. It’s about Ben, it’s about Steven and Andy and Mark, it’s about them all. They are just blokes but they are our blokes; they are our heroes. We want to help our heroes.”

I met up with Manny, from Mannys Marquees at my house last night to measure up the garden for the marquee his Company are kindly sponsoring for my party on Sunday. I looked at his portfolio of events he has provided marquees for and he some some pretty impressive photos. I’m going to use the marquee for the Bar Area and fill it with lovely scented candles and my crystal chairs.

Adrian at Simply Fine Foods who are doing the catering are giving me a smashing bar to make it really look smart, its the perspex and metal type with a pink lit up area. I am looking forward to this weekend immensely. Adrian is cooking up a great array of food for my guests and I have also arranged a chocolate fountain to finish it all off.

I also met up with Kim Rix from Your London Wedding Planner today and she was telling me how she likes to dabble in photography, so guess what? I invited her along to take some semi-professional shots of the day.  So my photos to put on our site should really make a show.

My guest list is getting longer and longer and more people want to come. What do I do? But it is all for ‘Help for Heroes’ and I am hoping the weather is kind to me. Everyone has said they are looking forward to the day as my parties are always such good fun. I am getting so big headed.
